Tiverton Library Presents Backyard Composting Program at Sandywoods

Longtime gardener & composter, Sanne Kure-Jensen, a sustainable landscape consultant, member of the Northeast Organic Farming Association of RI (NOFA/RI) and agricultural writer will share her composting experience. Backyard composting is easy and inexpensive. It improves soil, vegetable and flower health. Learn to recycle kitchen scraps, newspaper, junk mail and yard waste. Find out how composting happens, how magic microbes and worms help the process, what can and should not be composted, and how compost benefits gardens, soils, plant health, yields and the environment.
