PROVIDENCE, RI — A Warwick man was sentenced to 140 years in prison for producing and possessing child pornography.
Jeremy Giguere, 38, pleaded guilty to the offenses in December.
In September 2024, the Rhode Island Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force "received a report regarding disturbing" child pornography videos uploaded to a photo storage account linked to devices belonging to Giguere, The U.S. Attorney's Office said in a media release.

Giguere's home was searched in October 2024 and nearly 500 child videos and images were recovered from his personal devices, according to the release.
"Law enforcement determined through diligent investigation that Giguere also produced videos of himself sexually abusing a minor child and uploaded those videos to the storage account," the release said.
“The sentence imposed in this case reflects the depravity of these offenses and the devastating harm caused by the sexual exploitation of a child,” First Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles C. Calenda said in the release.
“By sentencing this predator to 140 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release, the Court has ensured that he will never again prey on an innocent child," Calenda said. "Our message is clear: engaging in the sexual exploitation of a child will result in this Office using every resource at its disposal to ensure the end result is a very long sentence in federal prison.”
