Man Struck And Killed By Train In Warwick
The Warwick Police Department and the Amtrak police are investigating the death.
WARWICK, RI — A man was struck and killed by a train in Warwick.
Officers responded to the report of a man struck by a train near the corner of Post Road and Alger Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Monday, the Warwick Police Department said in a media release.
Warwick officers met with Amtrak police at the scene and "located an adult male on the railroad tracks," according to the release.

"The male has not yet been identified and was pronounced deceased at the scene," the release said. "Preliminary information indicates that he was struck by Amtrak Acela Train No. 132."
Warwick police and Amtrak police are "actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident," according to the release.
