Warwick Man Charged With Stealing $4K E-Bike: Cops (patch.com) — Warwick residents are learning that a 55-year-old local man has been charged with stealing a $4,000 e-bike, with police noting he was already on probation at the time. Warwick police say the July theft and the suspect's extensive criminal history led to a larceny charge between $1,500 and $5,000, underscoring ongoing public safety concerns in the city.
   

2. DOT says a 'road diet' will trim Warwick traffic jams. Residents unsure. (providencejournal.com) — Main Avenue in Warwick has been reduced from four lanes to two with a new center turn lane, and residents are sharply divided over whether it eases or worsens traffic near the airport. State transportation officials say the "road diet" improves safety and turning, while some neighbors complain of backups and poor communication. A final decision on making the change permanent is expected this fall.
   

3. Heavy rain causes property damage in West Bay (turnto10.com) — Heavy rain Sunday flooded parts of Warwick and West Warwick, swamping streets and damaging homes and yards. One Warwick homeowner reported water filling a shed near Scenic Street and Teakwood Avenue, while a West Warwick resident saw a costly retaining wall collapse. 4. Woman arrested on warrant in Warren (newportdispatch.com) — A Warwick woman was arrested in Warren on an outstanding state police warrant tied to an earlier high-speed pursuit investigation. She faces charges including reckless driving and eluding law enforcement and was arraigned and released with a future court date. In a separate case, a Johnston resident was charged in an alleged public assistance fraud investigation.
