• Cianci Family Trust Sells Former Hooters Restaurant Site (golocalprov.com) — A long-vacant former Hooters site on Airport Road in Warwick has been sold by the Cianci family trust to the owners of Golden Crust Pizza and Golden Crust Dessert Cafe. The $855,000 sale could bring a new restaurant concept to this high-traffic spot, offering residents fresh dining options and new life for a property tied to one of Rhode Island's most colorful political figures. 
• RIDOT removes aging bridges, changes traffic patterns as replacement costs climb (turnto10.com) — Drivers in Warwick should prepare for changes as RIDOT demolishes an aging bridge tied to old Route 37 expressway plans and replaces it with a signalized intersection. The project, meant to save millions in replacement costs, will add a dedicated left-turn lane near Gregg's Restaurant and is part of a broader effort to remove or shrink unneeded bridges across Rhode Island.
• Warwick woman, Brockton man convicted for roles in fatal 2022 shooting (turnto10.com) — A Warwick woman has been convicted as an accessory after the fact in a 2022 fatal shooting case that was tried in Brockton, Massachusetts. She and a Brockton man, found guilty of first-degree murder and gun charges, are scheduled for sentencing on October 8. The case involved a 24-year-old victim and arrests made in Virginia shortly after the shooting.
