• Warwick Council Questions $152,640 Opioid-Fund Payment (upriseri.com) — Warwick's finance committee ultimately backed a $152,640 payment from the city's opioid settlement fund to keep student assistance counselors in local middle and high schools, despite concerns about limited financial documentation from the nonprofit provider. Officials and educators stressed the counselors' role in prevention and recovery for struggling students, while councilors questioned oversight of the restricted opioid money.
