The debate comes as Gov. Dan McKee orders a 60‑day statewide pause on new ALPR installations and a review that could shape future camera use in Westerly and neighboring communities. 
• Area All-Stars recall World Series memories (thewesterlysun.com) — Westerly's long Little League legacy includes a 1950 baseball squad that reached the World Series and later stars like Johnny Garafolo, who went on to pro ball. A 2015 Pawcatuck‑Westerly‑Mystic softball team and other regional all‑star squads also made national runs, with several Westerly players becoming standout high school and college athletes.
