Tiverton Man Wanted In Connection With Hit-And-Run Crash Nabbed: Cops

WOONSOCKET, RI — A Woonsocket man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash was apprehended, police said.

George Andrews, 48, was arrested shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant charging him with leaving the scene of an accident to an attended motor vehicle, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

"The arrest was a result of a barracks investigation and the subject being located by the Woonsocket Police Department," according to the release.

"Andrews was transported to Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment," the release said.
