Paul Ryan: Not a Typical Candidate; Condie Rice: Technology and Military Safe with Ryan

Day 3 of the GOP convention saw strong endorsements of the Romney/Ryan ticket by Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), the party's nominee in 2008 who faulted the Administration for foreign policy failures.  Former Secretary of State Condelisa Rice strongly endorsed Romney saying that America's technology and military will be safe in the hands of Romney.

The centerpiece of the evening was the acceptance speech of Cong. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as the party's vice presidential candidate.  I thought it was genuinely delivered by someone who is humbled by the history of the moment.  He came through as a family man, deep rooted to his hometown of Janesville, WI.  His nomination at age 42 is a clarion call for younger Americans to get involved, become active citizens and make a difference.  Ryan, as Budget Committee chairman, knows about the dollars and cents of the Federal government.  He will not be buffaloed by the likes of Joe Biden or Obama and is clearly a man of principle and convictions.
