Thomas G Paine Memorial Day Parade Grand Marshall

The Memorial Day parade included as the Grand Marshall Thomas G Paine.

Tom is the United Veterans Coucil Veterans of the year. He is a Korean War and Vietnam Era Veteran. His service to our nation and to Veterans organiztions is what makes him a true Veteran representative.

Tom served in the active Navy from 1954 to 1967 and the Army National Guard from 1978 to 1988, at which time he retired from the Armed Forces. To his credit he received numerous Awards and Achievement Ribbons as well as proclamations and citations.

He is currently helping veterans with his commitment to serving Veterans as a Adjutant and Chaplain to Poisson, Cournoyer, Carpentier, Bacon DAV Chapter 12 here in Woonsocket. He is also an active member of the Cournoyer, Ducharme, Gosselin, Lambert VFW Post 11519.

Tom also serves as the Chaplain of the Woonsocket United Veterans Council. Tom is a dedicated individual who may be seen throughout the city as he works for the various veterans organizations.
