Well, Stroll me over! Shopping, treats, and Santa...WooHoo!
What a great Holiday Stroll this year. Put another feather in Wooonsocket's cap!

Wow, what a great Stroll huh? I hope you had a chance to enjoy it. There was so much going on this year, and the strip was just beautiful. The committee did a great job putting it together and I'd like to thank them personally for their efforts.
Did you know we had over 25 businesses participate this year? Add to that a handful of performers, Santa, and a slew of caroler groups and there was something happening every time you turned around ! That's what I like to see! Go Woonsocket!
...and Main Street itself! Man, it was beautiful. Still is actually. With the lighted wreath canes on the light posts and the decorations in the windows added to the way the street looks already with those beautiful old style lights, it was just what a New England Holiday Celebration should look like. Mix that look with the sound of the carolers and clip-clop of the horse-drawn carriage and it just gave me a wonderful feeling. Speaking of sound, did you guys hear Jr. Ray? His old school crooning added some nostalgia to the evening...not to mention a bit of "cool".

I had a great time with my family. We enjoyed some tasty drinks, some yummy treats, did some holiday shopping, and, of course, visited Santa. My son got a real kick out of Spogga (the fire dancer). He couldn't beleive he was doing all that with fire and couldn't take his eyes off him. We just loved the Holiday Main Street set up inside Le Moulin as well. Have you guys been in there? If not, you've got to go see it (68 S. Main Street). They've built a wing of the complex to look like a miniature Main Street. Each "building" is a shop space and they call it "the village". I believe they're still putting the finishing touches on it, but a couple shops have already moved in. It's really cool. Anyway, they've got it decorated for the holidays right now, and I really recommend checking it out.
I can't wait until next year's Stroll. In fact, I can't wait to get back out there and "stroll" Main Street as soon as I can. There won't be as much going on as the night of the stroll, but there's still good eats, good drinks, and plenty of unique gift ideas...plus it'll still be really pretty. Hope to see you out there!

By the way, what was your favorite part of the stroll this year? Was it something you saw, something you ate, or something you felt? I suppose it could've been all three...there were some pretty good treats around!
Take care everyone. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
Until next time...
