The Agape Center, a program of CCA, was founded in 1998 to address the lack of HIV/AIDS services available in northern Rhode Island. It began as a program that provided basic support for people living with HIV/AIDS including the provision of food, distribution of personal care items and nutritional supplements, congregate meals, educational sessions, peer-led support groups, and social events. Case management services are available in English and Spanish to provide support around HIV/AIDS issues. The Center is open to anyone who is HIV positive and resides in Northern Rhode Island or is a patient of Thundermist Health Center. For more information about the Agape Center, contact Lorna Cohen at 401-235-6092 or lcohen@communitycareri.org.
