Crack Cocaine, Firearms, Cash Seized from Woonsocket Home

A Woonsocket man faces firearms and drug distribution charges.

Randy Lopez, 31, 697 Park Ave., first floor, was arrested after the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and the North Smithfield Police Department held a court-authorized search warrant on his home.

Authorities seized a .9mm Highpoint, a model C9 revolver with an altered serial number, a .25 caliber firearm, 6 grams of crack/cocaine, 40 grams of marijuana and $1,262 in cash from Lopez’s home, according to a press release on RI.gov.

Lopez was charged with manufacture/possession with intent to deliver crack/cocaine, manufacture/possession with intent to deliver marijuana, two counts of possession of a firearm after convicted of a crime of violence and altering a mark of identification on a firearm.

He was held without bail for his charges and his bail will be reviewed Friday, March 27.
