Local Woman Found Dead in Park
Aretha Beard, of Woonsocket, was found dead at Roger Williams Park in Providence.
A Woonsocket woman was found dead at Roger Williams Park on Tuesday.
NECN reported that the woman was identified as 45-year-old Aretha Beard on Thursday.
Police in Providence say a passerby discovered the body at about 8 p.m. Tuesday on the grass at the entrance to the park’s botanical center. They are awaiting results from the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.
