Memorial Day: What's Open, What's Not
Check in for a quick list of what's open and closed this holiday.

Â
It's Memorial Day, a time of parades, honoring servicemen and women who died serving their country, and time off from work for lots of people. Not everyone has the day off, though so here's a list of which city services and attractions are enjoying the day, and which you can still enjoy:
- City offices are closed, as are banks and credit unions, according to the Mayor's office.
- Restaurants are open unless otherwise noted.
- According to the City Clerk's office, there are about 100 holiday licenses granted to liquor stores, convenience stores and liquor stores. Most of the city's businesses serving the public are open today.
- The Woonsocket Harris Library is closed.
- The Woonsocket Recycle facility at 943 River St. will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Trash/recycling/yard waste collection will be delayed to Friday June 1.
