Monday: Council, City Jobs, and Far, Far Away...

We've made it to another Monday, and another five things to know:

Good morning Woonsocket - here are some things to keep in mind during your travels today:

Council - After all the working sessions lately, you might have forgotten the City Council holds regular meetings. They'll be having one of those tonight. One of the last things on the agenda is a motion requesting the appointment of a budget commission. That was one of the less intrusive methods of state intervention mentioned during Robert Flanders talk with residents last month.

Far, far away - Today in 1980, The Empire Strikes Back premiered, according to brainyhistory.com. Han Solo got iced, Threepio went to pieces, and Vader got Luke's digits. George Lucas and Mattel made a lot of money, too.
