Starting June 4, the library will start circulating Nook e-readers. There are two models of the Nook: the Nook Simple Touch and the Nook Color. The Nook Simple Touch is a simple black and white e-reader designed just for reading ebooks. The Nook Color is a tablet that allows users to read ebooks, go on the internet (where wifi is available), stream video and use applications. Picture books are especially fun on the Nook Color as many children’s ebooks are interactive. The Nooks will be checked out for seven days with no renewal, and the late fee will be one dollar per day. To request a Nook, please fill out a form at any service desk (Circulation, Reference, Young Adult or Children’s). Online forms will be available on the redesigned website in June. Reservations by the library's catalog are not available at this time. For more information, please contact 769-9044.
