• Woonsocket Makes Progress Replacing Lead Water Service Lines (ecori.org) — Woonsocket is close to finishing its lead water service line replacements, with fewer than 60 unknown lines to inspect and 76 private lines left, keeping the city on track for the 2033 state deadline. A nearly $1 million forgiven loan is helping replace private lines at no cost to homeowners, and residents may also qualify for a local program to reduce lead-paint hazards in older homes.
