📰 News we're reading
• $2,925 tax bill on a $3.8M building at center of federal lawsuit against Woonsocket (wpri.com) — Woonsocket officials are fighting a federal lawsuit over a steep tax break granted to a redeveloped Railroad Street apartment building, arguing the former mayor lacked council approval to sign the deal. The dispute could mean taxes jumping from under $3,000 to about $52,000 a year, with city leaders citing missed public hearings and residents' right to weigh in on such incentives.
