Police Identify Brothers Killed in North Kingstown Crash

Stephen Dutra of Woonsocket was killed in the crash along with his brother. The accident remains under investigation.

North Kingstown Police have identified the two men who died in a crash on Route 4 on Saturday night as two brothers living separately in Woonsocket and Fall River, Mass.

Juwuan Hills, 19, of Fall River, was driving south on Route 4 when he swerved into the northbound lane and crashed into a car heading in the opposite direction.

His brother, Stephen Dutra, 25, of Woonsocket, was in the passenger seat.

Hills died at the hospital and Dutra was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A rear-seat passenger was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The two occupants of the other vehicle were transported to area hospitals and “are expected to recover,” said Capt. Paul J. Barry.

The accident remains under investigation by the North Kingstown Police accident reconstruction unit and investigation division.

The tragedy has devastated numerous friends and family members. Dutra was the father of two little girls, age 7 and 12, and is described as a good son and generous man.

A GoFundMe has been established to help Dutra’s mother, Lisa Colaluca, pay for his burial.

Dutra attended Johnston High School.

Hills had just been graduated from Durfee High School in Fall River, Mass.

Police and firefighters responded to the to Route 4 at the intersection of West Allenton Road at around 11:20 p.m. Saturday night.
