Two Candidates Come Forward For Seats On School Committee

One more candidate added to list for CIty Council.

Three more candidates registered to run in Woonsocket's municipal elections today, including two potential new faces for the Woonsocket School Committee.

Christopher Roberts, the current vice-chair for the Woonsocket Zoning Board of Review declared his candidacy with the Board of Canvassers at City Hall as did Jeff Hardy. Hardy has been an active resident/participant at School Committee meetings over the past several years and a vocal supporter of all day kindergarten.

Another candidate has also joined the race for City Council. Lewis Pryeor represented Ward 8 for six years in the Warwick City Council as a Democrat before an attempted run for the West Warwick town council as a Republican in 2006. He also had a bid to represent District 25 in the General Assembly in 2006.
