U.S. Treasurer To Visit Woonsocket Monday

Treasurer of the United States Rosie Rios will visit Rhode Island for the first time as treasurer this Monday with Woonsocket at the top of her itinerary.

Rios will join U.S. Congressman David Cicilline for a roundtable discussion with Chamber of Commerce representatives, local small business owners and Latino community leaders at ’s Financial Opportunity Center.

Following the roundtable, Congressman Cicilline and Treasurer Rios will tour the Woonsocket nonprofit and visit a small business. 

Treasurer Rios, as a representative of the White House Business Council, will discuss some of the federal approaches to assisting small businesses, and solicit the views and concerns of roundtable participants as it relates to supporting the Main Street economy.

The roundtable will be closed to the public, but Woonsocket Patch will cover this rare, exciting visit by the treasurer to a city business.
