Flavors of New England -  Enjoy food from 21 Northern Rhode Island Restaurants for $15 a ticket. Proceeds will benefit The Haven of Grace, a residential program for women working to change their lives. Residents remain at the Haven of Grace for six months to two years during which time they are empowered to achieve their goals and they are "Empowered to overcome poverty of body, mind and spirit". The fundraiser is today from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Cercle Laurier Club, 165 East School St. 

Culinaria tour - Tonight, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council Secret Ingredient Food Tour takes you to 74 South Main St., 6-8 p.m. for a demonstration on making cinnamon rolls followed by a meal of Ma Glockner's Special Recipe for Berched Chicken, hand cut fries, salad, and cranberry sauce. Tickets are $20.87.

School Committee - Tonight, the School Committee meets at Woonsocket Middle School, 60 Florence Drive, at 7 p.m. On their agenda (see attached .pdf) is a discussion of turning Fifth Avenue School over to the city, and the appointment of a new controller for the school finance department.
