Woonsocket Man Indicted On Sexual Assault Charges

Jamal Rogers, 19, of 558 River St., has been indicted on sexual assault charges for the Feb. 6, 2012 attack of a woman in Woonsocket.

RI Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin's office reported today that the Providence County Grand Jury has issued an indictment charging Rogers with one count of first degree sexual assault, five counts of second degree sexual assault, and one count of assault with intent to commit sexual assault.

Police allege that on or about Feb. 6, Rogers sexually assaulted a woman multiple times. conducted the investigation.

Rogers is held without bail at the ACI and is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on June 13, 2012.
