Woonsocket Police: 56 People Arrested At Mill Party
The Woonsocket Police said 28 adults and 28 juveniles were arrested last night at a large party at the Bonin Spinning Mill on Mendon Road.
The Woonsocket Police said that over 100 people were observed inside and outside when they arrived at a large party in progress at the Bonin Spinning Mill at 1265 Mendon Road at 11:42 p.m. Thursday night, according to a press release issued on Friday.
Upon their arrival some of the party-goers fled on foot and sped away in vehicles, according to the release. Â Police said the area was littered with beer bottles, cans and hard liquor.
Every on-duty police officer was sent to the scene.

The police arrested 28 adults and 28 juveniles at the party. Â Twenty-five adults were arrested and charged with trespassing. Â One adult was charged with vandalism, one was arrested on a District Court warrant and one, Noelle Curren, 18, of Cumberland was additionally charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and simple assault when she allegedly struck an officer in the face at the Police Department.
The officer, Anthony Conetta, suffered a black-eye from the incident, according to the release.

The 28 juveniles were all charged with trespassing and were released to their parents later that night.
The report states that the owner of the building, Leo Beaudoin, came to the scene and told the officers that no one had permission to enter the building to host a party. Â The person who rented the space from Beaudoin, Michael Laplume, also said that he gave no one the right to use the space to host a party when contacted by police. Â Laplume said he wished to file formal trespassing charges against those arrested, according to the release.
The mess at the scene on Friday afternoon appeared to be largely cleaned up. Â Remnants of the party could be seen in trash cans located in the parking lot of the building where empty cases of beer, vodka bottles and Four Loko cans could be seen.
Woonsocket Police, at the end of the release, stated:
"The Woonsocket Police Department is aware of the serious effects underage drinking has on our community and takes actions to curb and reduce this unsafe and illegal activity. Â Police Department actions include education, parental involvement, citations, arrests as well as random checks of businesses licensed to sell alcohol to ensure they are in compliance with alcohol related laws."
