Beaufort named one of best towns to visit in the fall (explorebeaufortsc.com) — Beaufort has just been ranked the No. 2 "summertime small town that's even better in fall" by Southern Living, highlighting its oak-lined streets and waterfront charm. Locals can look forward to cooler temperatures, oyster roasts, festivals, ghost tours, pumpkin patches, and other outdoor fun that make autumn one of the best times to enjoy life around town.
   

2. Internal medicine specialist joins Beaufort Memorial in Bluffton (augustachronicle.com) — Beaufort County residents now have another primary care option as internal medicine specialist Dr. Minh Nguyen joins Beaufort Memorial Palmetto Medical Group in Bluffton. He focuses on chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, mental health, and HIV prevention, and is accepting patients at the Bluffton Parkway office, expanding access to care for Lowcountry adults and older children.
   

3. Deputies search for missing boy on Hilton Head Island (wjcl.com) — Beaufort County deputies are urgently searching Hilton Head Island for 12-year-old Dominic Caruselle, last seen Monday morning in the Palmetto Dunes area wearing a white shirt, gray shorts, black hat, and black backpack. Anyone in Beaufort County who spots him or has information is asked to call 911 or the sheriff's nonemergency line at 843-524-2777 immediately.
   

4. SCDNR urges boaters to practice proper safety on the water (wsav.com) — Boaters in Beaufort County are being reminded to stay safe on the water after a busy Labor Day weekend, when SCDNR officers focused heavily on enforcement. Local officers stress wearing life jackets, carrying required safety gear, respecting no‑wake zones, and sharing a float plan so someone on shore knows your route and return time.
