• Chapin won't issue taps to Brighton park. A decade-old contract may require them (thestate.com) — Chapin’s freeze on new sewer taps could stall major development at the Chapin Technology & Business Park at Brighton, despite a 2015 contract that appears to obligate the town to provide capacity. Lexington County is advancing a $20 million mixed-use project there, while Chapin leaders warn the wastewater plant is nearing capacity and expansion could take up to a decade.
   

• Here is a list of some Memorial Day events scheduled around the Midlands (lexingtonchronicle.com) — Chapin residents can join a Memorial Day ceremony at Chapin Town Hall, co-hosted by the town and American Legion Post 193, honoring fallen soldiers and recognizing local veterans and active-duty members.
