Harbison 50K Trail Race Kicks Off Today

Close to 200 runners from across the nation will run more than 30 miles through the Harbison State Forest Saturday. 

The race, presented by Half-Moon Outfitters, starts at 7:30 a.m. The 50K race is known as an ultramarathon because it's longer than the typical 42K marathon. 

Participants in the race come from as far away as New Jersey and Colorado, but the majority are from South Carolina. The race website has a complete list of participants.
