Uncle charged after toddler dies in Columbia shooting, police say (wistv.com) — A three-year-old child died after being shot inside a home on Bailey Street in Columbia's Colony apartment complex, and police say the child's uncle now faces a weapons charge. Investigators allege he left a gun unattended in the room, then fled and discarded the weapon instead of helping. The Columbia Police Department and Richland County deputies continue to investigate this developing case.
