Dr. James Palmer Jr. as its 13th pastor, with services and celebrations running October 7–11. A retired Army chaplain and active Columbia NAACP member, Palmer brings decades of ministry and military leadership. The church is inviting members, neighboring congregations, and the wider Columbia community to join the installation worship services and reception.

Johnson Stadium, powered by 301 rushing yards and two touchdowns from Christopher Johnson. • South Carolina Lottery Powerball, Pick 3 results for Oct. 3, 2026 (greenvilleonline.com) — South Carolina lottery players can now check the October 3 Powerball, Pick 3, Pick 4, Cash Pop, and Palmetto Cash 5 winning numbers, and Columbia-area winners get clear instructions on how to claim prizes. Smaller wins can be redeemed at retailers, while larger prizes must be mailed or claimed in person at the Columbia claims center or headquarters. All prizes must be claimed within 180 days.
