Palmetto Citizens, as all credit unions, exists solely to serve the needs of its members, not to profit from them.

And, we at Palmetto Citizens are happiest when we are helping our members achieve their potential with products and services that improve their financial well-being.

Overall, consumers saved $5.8 billion last year by using credit unions rather than banks.*

If you are in a quandary about where you want your financial home to be, consider joining a credit union.

Membership at Palmetto Citizens is open to any individual who lives, works, worships or attends school in Richland, Lexington, Fairfield or Newberry counties of South Carolina. If you have immediate family within this four-county area, you may be eligible to join as well.
