Man Charged In Hit and Run on East Calhoun Street/South 6th Avenue (dillonnews.org) — City of Dillon Police recently charged a 64-year-old man after a hit-and-run on East Calhoun Street and South 6th Avenue left a woman's SUV damaged and the other driver initially fleeing the scene. After his spouse brought him back to tell the truth, officers arrested him and took him to the detention center while gathering vehicle information for the investigation.
   

2. Man Scammed On Purchase Through Social Media (dillonnews.org) — A Dillon resident reported losing $800 after paying for truck parts through social media and never receiving the items, prompting a report to the City of Dillon Police Department. The case is a reminder to locals to verify online sellers, demand receipts and shipping confirmations, and be cautious before sending money to unfamiliar businesses, especially those located far from Dillon.
   

3. Man accused of killing grandmother arrested after I-95 chase, crash (wpde.com) — Law enforcement captured a 21-year-old suspect in his grandmother's killing after a chase that ended with a crash on I-95 in Dillon County. Deputies say he fled from Florence County, where his 75-year-old grandmother was found shot to death in her Sharon Road home. Hunter now faces murder and multiple related charges.
   

4. Reggie German and Shanton Graves Inducted Into Morris College Athletic Hall of Fame (dillonnews.org) — A former Morris College two-sport standout who grew up in Dillon has been inducted into the Morris College Athletic Hall of Fame, highlighting his achievements in baseball and cross-country. His recognition, alongside softball star Shanton Graves, celebrates years of athletic excellence, academic commitment, and leadership that continue to reflect positively on his hometown and the college community.
