• Edgefield County Breaks Ground on $1.83M Star Park With Outside Funding (kicks99.com) — Edgefield County is moving ahead with Star Park, a $1.83 million recreation complex near the Law Enforcement Center that's largely funded by state, federal, and settlement money, keeping local costs low. Work should start this fall, with pickleball courts, ball fields, a splash pad, and a walking trail that will eventually link Edgefield, Johnston, and Trenton through an 8-mile regional trail network.
