The City has hired Stantec’s Urban Places to develop a master plan for the area located along the planned 4.5-mile extension of the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The objectives of the SRT Extension Master Plan are to develop policy and land use recommendations, conceptual plans for key redevelopment opportunities along the trail and creative strategies to encourage redevelopment of private property and connectivity with the multi-use trail extension.

The study area for the master plan includes private property and public right-of-way located within approximately ¼ mile on either side of the trail’s proposed route along Laurens Road from Cleveland Park to CU-ICAR. The design and construction of the trail extension itself is a separate project managed by Greenville County.
