• Authorities searching for 12-year-old who went missing on Hilton Head. What we know (islandpacket.com) — Authorities are urgently searching Hilton Head Island for 12-year-old visitor Dominic Caruselle, last seen Monday morning in the Palmetto Dunes area wearing a white shirt, gray shorts, black hat and black backpack. Beaufort County deputies are asking anyone who spots him or has information to immediately call 911 or the sheriff's non-emergency line at 843-524-2777.
   

• Georgia and South Carolina are working to eradicate an invasive, bee-eating hornet (wuwf.org) — Hilton Head Island beekeepers and homeowners are seeing yellow-legged hornet nests in trees and around homes, threatening local honeybee colonies and pollination. State teams are racing to track and destroy hundreds of nests across South Carolina and Georgia, and residents are urged to look up, watch for suspicious nests, and report any sightings to help protect bees and agriculture.
