• 2026 Census test begins in Spartanburg County (wspa.com) — If you live in the Inman area of Spartanburg County, you may be among the 70,000 residents selected to help test new methods for the 2030 U.S. Census. Selected households should have received a letter around May 1 with instructions for completing the 40‑minute survey online or with a census taker, and participation runs through August 31.
   

• Donna Jean Fariss Obituary May 9, 2026 - Seawright Funeral Home & Crematory (seawright-funeralhome.com) — Inman is mourning the passing of 91‑year‑old resident Donna Jean Fariss, who died May 9 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She leaves behind her daughter Kim Taylor, several siblings, grandchildren, and a great‑grandson, and the family suggests memorial gifts to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home instead of flowers.
