Lexington deputies smell odor and uncover a clandestine meth lab near Gaston

During a routine, early morning patrol on Wednesday, Lexington County Sheriff's deputies uncovered a clandestine methamphetamine lab, the department announced on its Facebook page.
Detecting "a strong odor consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine," deputies reportedly zeroed in on the source -- 1043 Meadowfield Road, near Gaston.
After obtaining search warrants, members of the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) searched the home and discovered an alleged clandestine methamphetamine laboratory, the department said.

Deputies arrested Barbara Joyce Cook, 60, who resides in the home. Deputies also arrested Ashley Nicole Cook, 29, of West Columbia, as well as Donald James Jordan, 34, who were all charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine.
