Another Traffic Crackdown Coming Thursday

The following Lexington roadways will see increased patrols by deputies and state troopers over the next week

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has announced the latest roadways where it will conduct stepped up traffic patrols, which will begin this Thursday morning and run through Wednesday, Jan. 18.

Deputies, along with S.C. Highway Patrol troopers, will be cracking down on speeders, as well as reckless and drunken drivers. These patrols are in addition to the stepped up traffic locally and statewide over the New Year's weekend.

The targeted roadways include:

  • Berryhill Road
  • Hunters Blind Drive
  • Mill Stream Road
  • Old Barnwell Road
  • St. Andrews Road
  • Ball Park Road
  • Gator Road
  • Windmill Road
  • West Hampton Street
  • Mack Street

Be warned: While these are the announced roadways for the following week, Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said they are subject to change without notice.
