Big Weekend for Wildcat Sports
Lexington High cross-country track teams and marching band shoot for state championships

The second-ranked and undefeated Lexington Wildcats will play their final regular season football game tonight at 7:30 at arch-rival White Knoll High School ahead of next week's state Class-AAAA playoffs.
While the football team is shooting for a state championship over the coming weeks, that isn't the school's only team gunning for glory.
The school's men's and women's cross-country track teams, ranked first and second in the state, respectively, will take to the course at noon Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Sandhills Research Center, located at 900 Clemson Road in Columbia.

In addition to team championships, runners will be looking for individual championships as well. Among the men's cross-country runners, Lexington High counts four individuals among the state's top 10: Tony Morales, Colby Coulter, Zach Langston, and Blake White.
Also on Saturday afternoon, the school's marching band will compete for top honors among the state's best Class-AAAA squads. LHS's band is scheduled to take the field at S.C. State University in Orangeburg at 1:30 p.m.
