Capital Murder Trial Underway In Lexington

West Columbia man faces possible death sentence in alleged murders of two females in 2006.

Nearly six years after the murders of two females, the capital murder trial of Kenneth Andrew Lynch got underway Tuesday in Lexington, WACH reports.

Lynch, of West Columbia, is accused of killing his girlfriend and her 8-year-old granddaughter in 2006. Their bodies, however, have never been found.

"Washington and Livingston were last seen alive June 10th 2006, weeks later police arrested Lynch on the other side of the country trying to cross into Canada. Investigators say Lynch ditched Washington’s car in Seattle. Attorneys from both sides argued Tuesday about what should be allowed in the trial," the station reported.
