Deputies Search for Alleged Convenience Store Robber

Detectives are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of robbing a convenience store on South Lake Drive.

Detectives are looking for a man who Lexington County Sheriff's Department said robbed the Corner Pantry convenience store on South Lake Drive Tuesday.

The man entered the store around 12:30 a.m. with both hands in his pockets and walked up to the counter, according to an incident report. When an employee came to the counter, the man asked for a pack of cigarettes.

After the employee scanned the cigarettes, the man told him to open the register and lay on the floor. He told the employee if he looked up, he would "blow his head off," according to the report. The employee opened the register, waited until the man left and called 911.
