Drunk-boating Charges Dropped in Lake Murray Crash
Instead, prosecutors will pursue reckless homicide charges in collision that killed two women on Lake Murray in 2010, report says.

Prosecutors say they will seek to prosecute the man accused of killing Lexington resident Kelli Bullard in 2010 in a Lake Murray boating accident on charges of reckless homicide, The State reports.
On Monday, the first day of trial for Steven Kranendonk, 26, of Irmo, prosecutors said they would not pursue earlier charges of homicide from driving a boat while intoxicated.
"Assistant Solicitor Carter Potts didn’t explain why previous charges of homicide from driving a boat while intoxicated were set aside, although Circuit Judge G. Thomas Cooper Jr. told prospective jurors testimony may occur about alcohol consumption prior to the collision," the paper reported.
Kranendonk is accused of crashing his boat into another boat, killing Bullard, 25, and Amber Golden, 24, on the night of May 1, 2010, the paper reported.
