Lexington Firearms Instructor Arrested
Charges allege that concealed weapons permit instructor conducted his classes illegaly.

A concealed weapons permit instructor from Lexington faces charges after SLED agents allege he conducted his classes fraudulently.
Roland Ray Hill, 45, of 146D Litton Drive, Lexington, was arrested and charged Monday with perjury and subornation of perjury and booked at the Lexington Counbty Detention Center.
A SLED Undercover Agent attended Hill’s concealed weapons permit training class in Lexington on Feb. 19, 2012. The alleged crime? Hill allegedly held only a four-hour class. State law mandates classes be eight hours long.
In addition to Hill’s criminal charges, all nine of his students that applied for, received permits, and have not completed an eight-hour training class are subject to perjury charges for the falsification of the application process.
Hill has been a certified instructor since 2008. He previously worked for the Lexington and Batesburg-Leesville police departments.
