Lexington One's SAT Scores Decline

All four high schools falter, but district average still exceeds state, national averages

Average SAT scores in 2011 at Lexington One's four high schools declined from last year, according to a report from the S.C. Department of Education.

However, there was at least some heartening news: Average scores district-wide still exceeded the state and national average scores, which were 1436 and 1500 respectively. As a district, Lexington One's average score was 1501. The report also noted that 56 percent of seniors district-wide took the test.

The maximum score a student can score on the SAT is 2400.
