Lexington Traffic Crackdown Slated for This Week
Deputies, state troopers to step up patrols on selected county roads

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and South Carolina Highway Patrol have issued a public advisory of scheduled traffic-enforcement operations that begin Thursday morning and run through Wednesday, Aug. 31.
As in previous operations, deputies and state troopers will be targeting speeders, and reckless and drunk drivers on selected roads.
Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said deputies and state troopers will concentrate on specific offenses or on problem areas identified by patrol observations, complaints from citizens and statistics concerning traffic collisions.

The specific roads targeted: Beckman Road, Robbie Road, Muddy Springs Road, Spring Hill Road, Rawl Road, Wescott Road, Nursery Road, Murray Lindler Road, Leisure Lane, and Kitti Wake Drive.
Word to the wise: While these are the targeted roads, "they are subject to change without notice," Metts warned.
