LHS Featured in Apple Promo

The tech company use the school and students in new video promo for its iPad textbook initiative

Silicon Valley has come to the Midlands -- so to speak.

Apple Inc. has launched a new video on its Web site that features Lexington High School students and their use of iPads in their education, according to The State newspaper.

According to the paper: "Lexington 1 gave iPads to all of its high school students this year. Apple filmed the school’s process for giving out the iPads to students early in the semester to show to other schools preparing to make similar use of the new technology. They were impressed with how well the process worked and decided to come back to the school to film the promo, said district spokesperson Mary Beth Hill."
