Missing Woman Found

Amy Nicole Hill of West Columbia found safe in Summerville.

to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department on March 20 has been located.

Investigators say they found Hill on Tuesday in Summerville, SC., safe and sound.

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said detectives learned of Hills' whereabouts after she was seen on a convenience store surveillance camera in Summerville on March, 16 at approximately 7 p.m. Detectives determined that Hill left Lexington County of her own free will and was located safely in the Summerville area. 

Prior to discovering her whereabouts, Hill’s father, Larry Dean Roberts, reported Hill missing to the Sheriff’s Department, Metts said. Hill was last seen on March 16 at the home of her estranged boyfriend, James Jason Kirkland, at 521 Old Wire Road near West Columbia.

Kirkland told deputies that Hill was at his residence when he left for work on March 16, Metts said. Later that day, Kirkland told deputies that Hill was not at his residence when he returned home after running errands. Kirkland told deputies that Hill’s purse and backpack were missing from the residence.
