Lexington County Sheriff's deputies and the S.C. Highway Patrol will commence a weeklong traffic crackdown on Thursday morning ahead of the three-day Labor Day weekend.
Deputies and state troopers will be targeting speeders, and reckless and drunk drivers on selected roads, Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said.
Deputies and state troopers will concentrate on specific offenses or on problem areas identified by patrol observations, complaints from citizens, and statistics concerning traffic collisions, said Metts.
