Update: Crash Victim Identified

The driver of a pickup truck died Thursday night when he crashed his vehicle into a tree, according to the state Highway Patrol.

According to Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman, Timothy O. Ellisor, 30, of Leesville, was traveling westbound in the 7200 block of Edmund Highway in Cayce, when he lost control of his 2004 Ford Ranger and ran off the road, hitting a tree. 

After being extricated from his vehicle, Mr. Ellisor was pronounced on the scene from the injuries he received in the accident.  

The driver was not wearing his seatbelt, troopers said.
