Prescription Drug Take Back Day Coming

People with unused or expired prescription meeds can dispose of them safely this weekend at West Columbia event.

The West Columbia Police Department, LRADAC, the DEA and the Lexington District Two Rise Above It Community Drug Free Coalition will be sponsoring a Prescription Drug Take Back Day.  

The event will be held on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  

Chief Dennis Tyndall stated citizens can drop off unused or expired medications at the two local Bi-lo Supermarkets located at 2349 Augusta Road or 2453 Charleston Highway. Chief Tyndall encouraged citizen to utilize the drop-off points in order to safely dispose of unwanted medication and protect the environment.
